SUNDAY TIMES
Riveroaks offers one service each Sunday morning using the traditional style of worship. The Trinity Hymnal, the Praise Book, and furnished NIV pew Bibles are used throughout all services.

The Adult Sanctuary Choir assists with morning worship September through June each year. During the summer months, soloists offer musical praise from the balcony where the choir is normally located. Riveroaks utilizes its organ, piano and additional musical instruments during the year.

Adult, youth (Junior/Senior High School), children’s (pre K-6th grade), and college-age Sunday School classes are offered year round.

Nursery is provided for all classes, worship services and church functions.
A Hearing Assistance System is available for those having moderate hearing impairment.

Adult, College, and  Youth Sunday School Classes:
(effective January 3, 2010)

(1) Counterfeit Gods: The Empty Promises of Money, Sex and Power, and the Only Hope That Matters By Tim Keller Teacher: Paul Hess [Rm 116]. This class will discuss Dr. Keller’s newest Book. Through scriptual vignettes, he analyses some of the idols of the heart frequently encountered in our culture-then contrasts these false Gods with the Gospel of Grace wherein one sets his heart on Christ as his peace and life.
(2) Knowing God by J.I. Packer; Teacher: Ford Williams [RM 114]. In order to deal with the passing pleasures of sin, we must replace them with a greater sweeter pleasure, which is knowing and enjoying God. Join us as we study
this Packer classic, which has sold over 1 million copies.

(3) The Book of Judges; Teacher: Phil Hoekstra [Rm115].  Have you ever heard a sermon series in the book of Judges? It’s a part of the Bible we don’t often study carefully. Judges includes Jephthah, Gideon, Sampson, and Deborah. If you would like to spend some time learning much more about this part of God’s perfect revelation to us, join us for this class.
(4) Youth Culture; Teacher: Nate Smith (Room 116).
This is a class for parents of youth, and its purpose is to encourage and build one another up for the awesome and challenging task of raising teenagers.  Included will be time for discussion, prayer and practical application.

Youth Sunday School: (top floor Education Building)
Sr. & Jr. High Students meet upstairs during the Sunday School hour for their weekly large group study.  It follows the morning service with fellowship, music and teaching, all finishing around noon.

The
Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is observed monthly usually at the beginning of each month.
